Max Lamb

Max Lamb

Born in 1980, Max Lamb is a British designer who applies traditional approaches and primitive materials to contemporary design. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2006 and was named Designer of the Future at Design Miami/Basel in 2008.

Lamb explores and recontextualizes unconventional materials and processes — such as casting pewter in sand or working with volcanic rock — blending experimentation with logic to create objects that convey their design concept with visual simplicity and directness.

Wiggle

Wiggle

An exploration of material through the manual engraving of the surface, where a spiral-shaped metal wire creates a wavy, dynamic texture. Wiggle includes six classic round and square forms reminiscent of architectural elements, crafted using both wheel-throwing and slab-building techniques.
