On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, Weekend Max Mara presents "On Slowness", an installation hosted inside the brand’s new boutique at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 5, in Milan. The project was created by Bitossi Ceramiche and curated by Objects of Common Interest and Studio Blanco.

The collaboration between Weekend Max Mara and Bitossi is a natural union. Both brands, rooted in Italian heritage, share strong values such as a passion for design, a commitment to quality and durability, and, above all, a celebration of slowness.

Bitossi is a century-old company that has always emphasized time as a necessary dimension for developing handcrafted work rooted in research. Weekend Max Mara, born in the 1980s as a brand dedicated to leisure, today embodies an informal lifestyle concept and the desire to carve out moments of relaxation and escape within the continuous flow of everyday life.

At the heart of "On Slowness" are the ceramics from the Tuscan manufactory, engaging in dialogue with the new Weekend Max Mara collections — most notably, the latest creations for Salone del Mobile 2024 by designers Patricia Urquiola, Zaven, and Objects of Common Interest themselves. The installation also features a selection of contemporary Bitossi pieces designed by talents such as Muller Van Severen, Faye Toogood, Max Lamb, and Formafantasma.
