Christoph Radl, co-founder and creative director of Cabana, collaborates with Bitossi Ceramiche to exclusively present a new collection of sculptural ceramic boxes, celebrating a harmonious fusion of artisanal tradition and innovative design.

Radl’s creative vision stems from his deep passion for artisanal techniques from around the world, drawing particular inspiration from the refined aesthetics of Chinese and Japanese ceramics, where traditional lidded vessels have long played a key role in the decorative arts. Infused with a contemporary sensibility, these designs stand as evocative symbols of the bokkusu — the Japanese word for “box” — once again representing the Italian craftsmanship excellence that has always distinguished Bitossi Ceramiche.

The collection, crafted from refined ceramic, has been designed with a modular architecture and includes a series of lidded containers in three different sizes and structures, presented in a palette of evocative colors: cobalt blue, burnt orange, and emerald green. These exquisite art objects are conceived to create an elegant interplay of nesting forms, evoking the joyful spirit of the iconic Russian Matryoshka dolls.

Christoph Radl plays with the fusion of form and function, creating objects that go beyond mere practicality to be perceived as true works of art. His creative vision culminates in the union of the timeless charm of handcrafted ceramics with bold and colorful design.
