Ettore Sottsass

Ettore Sottsass was one of the great masters of 20th-century Italian design. An architect, designer, photographer, and writer, in 1958 he began his collaboration with Olivetti as a design consultant, creating the first Italian electronic calculator.

In 1980, he founded the Sottsass Associati studio, which led to the Memphis movement –an experience that would go on to revolutionize the world of design. His works are part of the permanent collections of the most important museums worldwide.
