Born in Switzerland in 1954 and raised in Austria, Christoph Radl moved to Milan in 1977. He met Ettore Sottsass in the 1980s, designed the visual identity for Memphis, and in 1984 co-founded the Italiana di Comunicazione agency with Sottsass Associati.

In 1993, he established his own studio, RADL, specializing in art direction, communication, and graphic design, working with clients in fashion, design, publishing, and contemporary art. Since 2014, he has been the creative director of Cabana magazine.
